ABOUT COACH JENKS

I am Matthew Jenkins, and I'm a proud coach at Complete Goaltending Development and current goaltender/student-athlete for the Carleton Ravens Varsity Hockey Team (USPORTS).

I made this site to not only share my personal experiences both in the crease and around the rinks, but also to share stories from friends and teammates, teach tools and techniques that I've come across in my playing career and the 10 years of coaching I've amassed and that I continue to learn everyday. 

If there's one thing I've learned through both my playing & coaching experience, it's that every goaltender learns and develops in different ways, and should be taught in a way that best suits them. Having said that, there are some common skills, techniques and mental habits that each and every goalie can benefit from.

I hope you find some benefit in what you find here, because BETWEEN THE PIPES is a resource that I truly wish I had growing up. I've found often that I can learn more from others than I ever could alone.
